Effective November 1, 2019, the Housing Authority of the City of Carrollton (CHA) will close its Income-Based Housing Program waiting list due to excessive wait times. During this period the CHA will no longer be accepting applications for the Income-Based Housing Program, but will continue to process previously submitted applications. The waiting list will reopen when CHA determines that the average wait time for housing has reached an acceptable level. The public will be notified through newspaper advertisement, as well as, on the CHA website.
The Income-Based Housing Program provides decent, safe and sanitary rental housing for low- income families and individuals, the elderly, and persons with disabilities at rents they can afford. The CHA manages units at five scattered sites, all within the city limits of Carrollton, Georgia.
The Housing Authority of the City of Carrollton does not discriminate in admissions or access to its federally assisted housing programs. All eligible individuals that have a visual or hearing impairment, and/or with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) will be provided with the information necessary to understand and participate in all housing programs. Please contact Brandolynn Marenco for additional information related to nondiscrimination or handicap regulations at 770-834-2046 ext. 112.
