Our Mission
The Housing Authority of the City of Carrollton (CHA) is committed to being a leader in providing affordable housing to very-low, low and moderate-income persons through effective management and wise stewardship of public funds, partnerships with our residents and others to enhance the quality of life in our community. Founded in 1950, CHA is chartered by the laws of the State of Georgia and receives policy guidance and operational approval from its five member governing Board of Commissioners that are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Carrollton. CHA operates and administers a total of 231 income based housing units within five developments throughout the City of Carrollton, Georgia. CHA also manages a Housing Choice Voucher program consisting of 163 Section 8 Vouchers; 30 HUD-VASH Vouchers and 11 Family Unification Program vouchers. Funding for these programs is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
